Description
In connection with the renovation of the shopping center located on the Otaniemi campus of Aalto University, the floor of approx. 1,000 m² was sealed with ElaProof Indoor S and the penetrations with ElaProof Indoor.
Information
The renovation of the shopping center located on the Otaniemi campus of Aalto University began in March 2020. The building, completed in 1961, was designed by Alvar Aalto. Otaniemi shop is familiar to many who studied and lived on campus. The building has also been described as a business card for the campus area, as it is near the entrances and in a central location near the university’s main building Dipoli, the Graduate Center and the Harald Herlin Learning Center. The building is also a rarity, as it is one of the few store buildings designed by Alvar Aalto.
